Do Orthodontists make their own schedule?

Is it possible to work only 2 days a week or anything like that?

Do Orthodontists make their own schedule?
Yes! I work for a dentist and we are only open 2 full days and 2 half days. We have a lady that works only the 2 full days. I'm also getting ready to go on maternity leave and I will come back part time. It is very common to work part time at a dental professional office. Most of them are only open 4 days a week anyways. Good luck
Reply:yeh i suppose, but two days a week is kind of stupid
Reply:They make up their own schedules somewhat, but most of them work more than 2 days per week because otherwise

they wouldn't have enough time to see all their patients and

you'd have to wait months to get in there. Or you could work

2 days per week in a practice with some other orthodontists

who share office space and work some other days. So you

all work part-time, but the office is open 5 days per week.
Reply:I would think they could (depends on skill, clientele and the demand for their services) If they are good at what they do and don't have to have a set schedule to live the life (financially) they desire, I can imagine why they could not set their own schedule.
