Who makes more money, dentists or orthodontists?

Orthodontist, easy.





If you see your dentist regularly and take good care of your teeth then the most you'll spend at your dentist is whatever you pay for the cleanings and the xrays. Even if you had a bad tooth, they'd get about 800, for the root canal, and another 800 for the crown, but that's once in a blue moon.


(per patient I mean. Most regular 1 dentist dental offices do maybe two of these a day.)





Orthodontist never do cheep cleanings. They are constantly putting on gosh darn expensive braces and then they get paid somewhat for adjustments.





Also dentists work on 3 or four patients at once. But, Orthodontists can do almost 10-12and they don't spend as much on infection control because there's less clean up.





basically, an Orthodontist can see over 100 people in one day and put on a dozen brand new pairs of braces, and for every pair he puts on, he has an active cash flow for the next few years.





Oh yeah, and NEVER let your regular dentist do your ortho work. There's a reason you have to go to school for this specialty. Ortho work is more about Physics than normal destistry.

Reply:I'd say.......... orhtodontists, because they handle all of the braces, retainers, molds of your teeth, ect and all the dentists do is clean your teeth and check for cavaties.
