For Orthodontists!!?

In your experience could you tell me what reasons/factors would prevent an adult from having orthodontic treatment! In term of the health of the teeth %26amp; gums that is.

For Orthodontists!!?
If you have active decay (cavities), perio disease (gum disease), significant bone loss, or multiple missing teeth, you are not a good candidate for orthodontics. Moving teeth with braces causes bone to be destroyed as we move the teeth from one position to another. If you already have bone loss, then the teeth would lack support needed to maintain a healthy and stable position. With caries (cavities) the teeth could actually break or crumble form the forces applied.

If the conditions do not exist, then most all other adults are candidates for orthodontic treatment.
