When you have braces is it normal for your teeth to be so sore that it is hard to brush, Like a week after getting them adjusted???
Question for Orthodontists/ People with braces?
That is expected, especially early on in the treatment because teeth have alot of room to shift in. The wire change affects the teeth to really make a move, lol So the first week after the intial appliance(braces) and each adjustment is the time where there is the most noticeable movement...AKA pain. Hang in there, because as your teeth align and have less "track", the less they'll hurt. It'll be such a difference, you'll go for an adjustment and think to yourself...is that all? Good luck
Reply:that happens
Reply:I had braces and it's normal. Sometimes mine would hurt for about a week.
Reply:Sometimes. When the Orthodontist tightens them alot it can take a week to get back to feeling normal.
Reply:Definitely, you'll have the regular discomfort, and you may find that it's more painful to brush the back of your teeth than the actual front of your teeth. Some people experience little to no pain, others experience it for just a couple of days, and others a little bit longer. It all comes down to the specific treatment.
Reply:Yep.
