I have baces. A few days ago the bracket came off my tooth while i was eating. I went in to the orthodontist and he fixed it for me but he also put some sort of a hard yellow glue on my back teeth on either side. What is this glue? What is it for? If this appointment wasnt one of those of every couple months, why did he do something that was totally irrevallant to what i came in for?
Does anybody know anything about teeth...is there any orthodontists out there?
He's probably put some of the leftover bonding agent on the grooves(fissures) which will help you keep them clean whilst you have braces on. It is called fissure sealing and they usually cost money(we charge $40 each tooth), so if I were you I would thank him 'cos they will help prevent decay in your molars.
