The average length of time for orthodontic cases with traditional braces is about 2 years. There is an advantage to getting the self-ligating braces such as Damon 3, In-Ovation, Quick, or Speed brackets. For some patients with these newer techniques, the amount of time in braces can be cut down to 12 to 18 months.

This also required total cooperation on your part with taking care of your braces, eating properly, not breaking them, keeping appointments and wearing elastics, if necessary.
