Like when they were putting my braces on would could they tell if I had any???
Can orthodontists tell if I have a cavity?
Orthodontist are not checking you for decay. They are specialists for braces, period. Unfortunately, they won't notice that you have a cavity until it is large. It is important that you see your regular dentist for routine checkups during this time period so you can be monitored for any other dental problems other than the braces. Some orthodontist suggest that you get your teeth cleaned every three months while you are in braces.
Reply:When I got my braces they did. Well I was going to get my braces and the cavity was to deep so they scheduled an appointment fr a Root Canal the next day and then braces the day after.
Reply:yes your orthodontist can tell if you have cavities but they usually do it before you get your braces
