R orthodontists able to tell.......?

if u havent worn ur elastics for a while??


i havent worn my elastics since my last appointment, which was about 2 months ago ( i had to keep rescheduling) and i just put them on tonight i have an orthodontist appointment tomorrow. is he gonna be able to tell?

unfortunely yes they will be able to tell. trust me had them for 5 years. it just makes the process longer. Just wear them, and get it over with!

Reply:Yes. You have to wear them 24/7 in order for your teeth to be straight. You're going to have to wear them for a longer period of time if you don't wear them 24 hours and 7 days a week.
Reply:Yes because they will see your teeth haven't made any progress. All you're doing is costing your parents more money and prolonging your agony and embarrassment in braces. You'll be lucky if the orthodontist doesn't tell your parents that you haven't been wearing them. If you were my kid I'd be busting your bottom for wasting my money and I'd probably discontinue your treatment and let you pay for it when you became an adult, like my boyfriends parents did when he wasn't doing what he was supposed to while he was in braces. Now he can't afford it and has crooked teeth and will have crooked teeth until he can afford his own treatment.
