Can I sue my orthodontist? He left my braces on too long, and I will lose most of my bottom teeth.?

When my dentist first saw my x-rays, he sucked in his breath in alarm, because almost all the roots of my 4 front, bottom teeth had been resorbed. He said I have a prognathous jaw, and the orthodontist should not have tried to tip the bottom teeth forward. I decided then to suck it up and live with it, and pay for implants and a bridge when the time came. Now I have lost one tooth, and am about to lose another. These are in addition to the front, bottom four. This is all because of the braces. The orthodontist does not want to pay for the implants. It has been about 6 years since the brace came off. Is it too late to sue?

Yes; you can

Hi;

I am really sorry to hear about your case; and felt real bad about it. You of course can sue anyone its one of your rights but in this case you MUST sue as in this case that is your Duty. Your Orthodontist is accountable to this negligence and incompetence on his part; you should sue him right away not just as reimbursement ( which can never count up to your distress %26amp; grievance) but also to take away any such person from his practice so that he might not be able to do such a damage to another person. I think you should immediately go ahead with the civil suite; your case is genuine and the judge and jury will absolutely have sympathy towards your case; go for a competent and experienced attorney who specializes in these type of cases.

Best of luck and God bless
Reply:I'm not sure what the statute of limitation is, but you would be wise to consult an attourny on the matter, many won't charge you for asking, some will
