Does the orthodontist want to pull out all of my baby teeth?

my orthodontist told me only four teeth will be pulled, but i have 6 baby teeth. chances are he will remove 4 baby teeth. so, what about the 2 other baby teeth? will i have them while wearing braces?

by the way, i'm 15 going to 16 in a month.

Does the orthodontist want to pull out all of my baby teeth?
best way to know is to ask him
Reply:at that age they should all have fallen out years ago m8, they have to all go
Reply:Perhaps the orthodontist is using the other two as space maintainers - to help keep the shape of your jaws while the treatment takes place.

Sometimes baby teeth will not fall out and the permanent teeth will grow in around them and cause a big orthodontic mess!

Sometimes the permanent teeth never come in and the baby teeth remain.

That may be what is happening in your case. You really need to ask him/her about what's going on in your jaw. Only your orthodontist can give you a detailed explanation.
