Dentist/Orthodontist Question about Braces?

I've been going to my dentist since I was 2 and he is a dentist and orthodontist. They said when I was little that I would deff need braces when I'm older and now i'm 14 and they said they came it straight. But i'm concerned about my bite. I think I have an overbite and it hurts my jaw. How do I tell my dentist? Should I not mention this to my parents? I would really like braces to fix this. Is that an alternative? Dentist/Orthodontist Question about Braces?
Hi! Like I just told you, you DO NOT have an over bite, and your teeth look great. And you do NOT need braces. It looks like you already did LUCKY you! Your bite is fine. In fact it is better than most people. So chill out, you have a great smile line and a great occulsion. Brush, floss and rinse and use a fluoride toothpaste and you wil have these teeth for at least 50 years. Good job. Marie.
Reply:yes, tell your dentist/orthodontist. mine didnt mention anything to me about an overbite until i was almost 15 and i wish i had got my braces younger because it works faster. also they said that they don't tell you that you need them, they suggest but you have to ask. thats what my crummy dentist said anyway. hope this helps.
Reply:I think u look great. Go to a different denist if u don't feel comfortable
Reply:talk with your parents about it AND ask your dentist. they wont know there is a problem unless you let them know
Reply:don't worry :) I think that you don't have to put braces. It's normal.

If you are convinced, ask a professional.. gd luck :)
