I am a High School senior, and aspiring orthodontist. I would like to know the exact stages of education I would have to go through, and the types of schools/programs I'll have to attend. I also want to know how do most orthodontist start off their career.
How do I become an Orthodontist?
1) 4 years of undergrad, must take DAT exam, get some dental experience, apply, interview and get into dental school
2) 3-4 years of dental school
3) 2-4 years of orthodontics training or residency
4) Now you can practice by yourself!
Reply:You will have to go to college and then probably a dental school that specializes in orthodontics!
