Will an orthodontist get few of my teeth before i get braces?

i'm just curious about this...beacause im planning to get braces after i turn 15 and i'm a little bit nervous because some says that the orthodontist gets two teeth from corner to corner before they put the braces on...

Will an orthodontist get few of my teeth before i get braces?
i had braces and i had to have 4 teeth pulled before having them put on. they're called the "eye" teeth. but not everyone have them. braces are very worth it in the end! i couldn't imagine not having my straight teeth!
Reply:i wear braces and i had to take 2 teeth out.


it was painful but dont worry.

Reply:yh they do so the braces will have spaces to move as they were crowded before. i also had to get 4 of my teeth taken out which i found quite painful but worth it.
Reply:It depends on the sort of problem you have. Some problems can be sorted out without extractions. But if the orthodontist needs a lot of space to sort out things like crowding, then you will need to have teeth out.
