I really really really hate my orthodontist hes so rough and doesnt really seem to like his job at all, my friend goes to one which is nice and much closer to me anyway, is it possible to swap even though ive had my brace for 4 months?

Yes you can. Many people have to switch because they move while in treatment. You want to go where you are happy as you may be in treatment for many months to come.
However, it may effect and reduce you orthodontic benefits if there is insurance. So you may want to look into that.
