What happens if I dont get into the orthodontist program I am applying for? Does that mean I can never become a orthodontist??? Should I apply the next year? or should I wait two to three years after I complete dental school to become a ortho. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Orthodontist??
If you fail the first time, try again.
I think most programs that require an application process explain to you why you were not selected.
If they don't, ask them if they wouldn't mind telling you, so you can correct or learn anything that was missing the first time.
Best of luck!
Reply:HELLO,
THE PROGRAM CAN BE HIGHLY SELECTIVE. IT'S BEST TO GO DIRECTLY FROM DENTAL SCHOOL. IF THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE, CONSIDER WAITING 2-3 YEARS WHILE YOU DO GENERAL DENTISTRY. ALSO CONSIDER GETTING ADVANCED POSTGRADUATE TRAINING LASTING SEVERAL WEEKS/MONTHS RATHER THAN YEARS.
